How about these two? They fought it out in 1992 but made peace while doing tsunami relief.
Rumor has it that they have exchanged "BFF" charms.
for those with strong political views, is it impossible to be really good friends with someone on the other side?
my very best friends either tend to think like me on the political continuum or have no care whatsoever for politics.
those with exceptionally strong leaning toward the other party tend to get mean and nasty in political discussions which invariably deteriorate hopes for a deeper friendship.. what has been your experience?.

They do seem to be an odd couple. Here's a photo of Carville and Matalin on national television where they tear into each other. I'm not sure what Matalin is talking about, but it may have something to do with the aforementioned "making babies." Or not.

Sure they can be friends. Sometimes they even get married and make babies...
Mary Matalin and James Carville
a while ago i had a discussion with a jw who swung the conversation around to "the blood issue"... .
i asked him that as he "abstained from blood", does he therefore only eat "kosher meat".. his response was "what's does kosher mean" !.
i explained, and he then told me that all meat nowadays was "kosher", and that the red juice that runs from a steak is infact "meat juice" and not blood, so it was okay to eat.. hmmmmmn.... .
Nice experiment.
How is anyone supposed to know if the meat (other than kosher) they buy at the grocery has been bled properly? And what about hot dogs, luch meat, and sausage? Some of that stuff is made of ingredients you don't want to think about.
Stop reading now if you like chicken soup and are easily grossed out.
I remember several years ago an egg company in my area had a roof collapse on one of its stadium sized hen houses. Thousand of chickens died. According to people who worked for the egg company, the Campbell's Soup company bought all the dead chickens and trucked them off to a soup factory. Were those chickens properly bled before being processed into soup?
i was reading a story about iraqis aquiring a taste for usa branded products like pringles, dove, and gatorade.
one of the comments about the story was this joke:
q: why are there no wal-marts in iraq?

i know there are some about, but i just can't find them at the moment.
not e-watchman: i mean like loyal witness boards.
slim .
While not really discussion boards, those jw-singles sites are funny to read. The sisters look for spirtually minded brothers with congo responsibilities who are not afraid of being the family leader and who will love the sisters just slightly less than they love jehovah...all that and must be able to hump like a porn star. Some of those sites may have chat rooms for members (chaperoned of course).

Hey No Apologies,
Thanks for the update. I'm amazed that the fatality number is low for now. When I first saw the photos I thought there would be dozens and dozens dead given the bridge fell during rush hour. Glad to hear you people are okay.

Minn. Dept. of Transportation (MN-DOT) is saying that the bridge has been inspected regularly as it is a high traffic bridge and no structural problems had been found. If that is true, maybe there was some concealed flaw in the bridge. Minneapolis is not in an earthquake zone. Homeland Security is on scene of course. I guess an attack can't be ruled out at this point. Given the number of cameras MN-DOT has pointed all over the place, I would have to believe that the collapse was recorded.
Good to hear your okay, Gopher. Maybe some more will check in when they get the chance.
Added: Homeland Security reports that there is no indication that an attack occurred.

Christ almighty! The whole I-35W bridge fell into the Mississippi River! Cars and trucks in the river. The news footage showed a school bus on a section of the collapse! There are a lot of posters from the metro area on the board. I hope all of them are okay. What a disaster...
ok guys and gals, i (being the assistant to the magazine counter) have acquired the newest okm.. i have uploaded it to imagevenue.com: here.

by the way drew, your translation was very close.
Its been a long time since I have had much to do with witnesses. I have a question. When witnesses are going door to door looking for converts, given the society's stance on independent study and reading non-society publications, how do witnesses respond if the householder says, "My religion discourages bible study outside my church and it forbids reading materials from other religions." What would be a witness response if they were pressed on the issue if they happen to stop by my house and I started asking questions like, "What does your religion teach? Are you encouraged to study the Bible outside of formal groups? What was the last non-witness publication regarding religion you read? If witnesses are not supposed to study independent of your church, why do you ask non-witnesses to study with you?" I'm sure they have some convoluted logic that allows the issue to go two different ways
